DONATION REFUND POLICY
 Healing Hands Foundation has instituted a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent
processing of requests for refund of donations as digital payments are becoming more frequent.
 Healing Hands Foundation may also seek proper explanation and reason from the user. Also, it will
require further verification of the user and need documents of proof as well as for donation.
 Healing Hands Foundation expects that all donors will exercise due care and diligence while making
donations. Healing Hands Foundation also recognizes that a donation may be made erroneously or
donors may change their mind. Healing Hands Foundation will examine request for refund of
donation and endeavor to make the refund.
 Healing Hands Foundation is not obliged to make refunds and may, in its discretion, decline any
requests for refund of donations, particularly if a tax exemption certificate has been issued.
If you would like your donation to be refunded, you must request Healing Hands Foundation in
writing or by email for a refund at the following address: Healing Hands Foundation, Mangalmurti

 Your refund request must contain the details such as Date of Donation, Amount of Donation, Mode of
Donation i.e. Credit Card or Online Payment and should reach Healing Hands Foundation office within
7 (Seven) days from the date on which you made the donation i.e.:
The date on which you Made the donation online, electronically or through other means, OR
The date on which you Handed over the cheque/demand draft to Healing Hands Foundation or
someone authorised by Healing Hands Foundation for this purpose, OR
The date on which you Despatched the cheque / demand draft to Healing Hands Foundation by other
means.
The refund process may take time 7 to 30 working days depending on the availability of the information
from third parties such as Payment Gateway, Banks, etc. through which transaction is done.

Will I receive a fund utilization report for my donation?
Since donations are pooled together and may be used for any program/s, online donors do not receive a
fund utilization report. However, you may review our Report Section for program information and
financial statements on Foundations website.

Will I get tax exemptions on my donations, and by when?
Yes, Healing Hands Foundation has certificates for tax exemptions under Section 80G of the Income Tax
Act, 1961. All donations are 50% exempt from tax under Section 80G and are applicable only for
donations made within India. We will send a receipt of 80G certificate by post and also to the
registered email address after successful completion of donation.

Will an individual’s small contribution help?
Every contribution, irrespective of its size, is important and goes a long way towards enabling Healing
Hands Foundation to implement its programmes. You are welcome to contribute according to your
capacity and help us reach out to more beneficiaries.

Can foreign nationals donate online?
Foreign nationals cannot donate online as of now. However, International donors will be able to
contribute as soon as our Payment Gateway goes live.

What happens with my donation?

Once you have finalized and confirmed your donation online, your donation will be wired to our bank
account. Your donation will contribute towards our programme and administrative costs. You will get an
