Free Health Check-Up and Awareness Camp – Primary Health Center, Karla, Pune | 22 Aug 2025






The Free Health Check-Up and Awareness Camp was successfully organized on 22 August 2025 at Primary Health Center, Karla, Taluka Mawal, District Pune. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Primary Health Center, Karla, and Healing Hands Foundation, Pune, with the objective of providing free healthcare services and spreading awareness regarding anorectal and related health disorders. The initiative mainly focused on diseases and symptoms associated with hemorrhoids (piles), fistulas, fissures, hernia, constipation, and other related conditions, ensuring early diagnosis, proper medical consultation, and healthcare guidance for the local community.
The camp witnessed active participation and support from the team members of Primary Health Center, Karla, including Dr. Nitin Wagmare (Medical Officer), Wanita Nawle, Sunita Temgire (ASHA), along with several social activists and volunteers from Karla, Taluka Mawal, District Pune. Their cooperation and dedicated efforts contributed significantly to the smooth organization and successful execution of the health camp.
During the camp, Dr. Ashwini Pargewar examined a total of 38 patients and provided expert medical consultation and treatment guidance to the beneficiaries. Tejashree Khalate (Counselor) educated the attendees about the healthcare initiatives of Healing Hands Foundation Pune and provided detailed information regarding anorectal disorders such as piles, fissures, fistula, and constipation. She also addressed common misconceptions related to these conditions and explained the importance of lifestyle modifications, balanced nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices for maintaining good health. Mrs. Sheetal Bhosale (Camp Assistant) distributed free medicines to the beneficiaries, ensuring immediate healthcare support to the patients attending the camp. The registration and documentation process was efficiently managed by Mrs. Anita Said (Camp and Program Coordinator), ensuring smooth coordination and proper record management of all beneficiaries.
The camp was supported by the dedicated team from Healing Hands Foundation Pune, including Dr. Ashwini Pargewar, Mrs. Anita Said (Camp and Program Coordinator), Tejashree Khalate (Counselor), Mrs. Sheetal Bhosale (Camp Assistant), Rohit Ragade (Data Analyst), Anand Misal, and Damodar Adhav. The entire health camp was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Snehal Porwal (Secretary), Dr. Ashwin Porwal (President), and Mrs. Madhura Bhate (NGO Coordinator) of Healing Hands Foundation Pune. Their leadership and continuous support played an important role in the successful organization of the event, which contributed significantly toward promoting preventive healthcare awareness and providing essential medical services to the community.
