Free Health Check-Up and Awareness Camp – Ghorpadi, Pune | 02 Sept 2025

The Free Health Check-Up and Awareness Camp was successfully organized on 02 September 2025 at Aglawe Chawl, opposite Ganesh Mandir, Ghorpadi, Taluka Haveli, District Pune. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Don Bosco Migrant Services, Ekta Mitra Mandal, and Healing Hands Foundation, Pune, with the aim of providing free medical check-ups and spreading awareness regarding anorectal and related health disorders. The camp mainly focused on diseases and symptoms related to hemorrhoids (piles), fistulas, fissures, hernia, constipation, and other associated conditions, ensuring proper medical guidance, early diagnosis, and healthcare support for the local community.

The camp witnessed active participation and support from members of Don Bosco Migrant Services and Ekta Mitra Mandal, including Baapu Mane (President – Ekta Mitra Mandal), Datta Sutar (Vice President – Ekta Mitra Mandal), Sanjay Randive (Treasurer – Ekta Mitra Mandal), Santosh Landge (Secretary – Ekta Mitra Mandal), Mona More (Don Bosco Migrant Services), along with several social activists and volunteers. During the event, the dignitaries from Healing Hands Foundation were welcomed and honored by Ekta Mitra Mandal with bouquets and shawls as a gesture of appreciation and respect.

During the camp, Dr. Ashwini Pargewar examined a total of 55 patients and provided expert medical consultation and treatment guidance to the beneficiaries. Tejashree Khalate (Counselor) educated the attendees about anorectal disorders, their symptoms, preventive care, and treatment methods, while Mrs. Sheetal Bhosale (Camp Assistant) distributed free medicines to the patients. The registration and documentation process was efficiently managed by Mrs. Anita Said (Camp and Program Coordinator), ensuring smooth coordination and proper management of the beneficiaries attending the camp.

The camp was supported by the dedicated team of Healing Hands Foundation Pune, including Dr. Ashwini Pargewar, Mrs. Anita Said, Tejashree Khalate, Mrs. Sheetal Bhosale, Anand Misal, and Damodar Adhav. The entire program was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Snehal Porwal (Secretary), Dr. Ashwin Porwal (President), and Mrs. Madhura Bhate (NGO Coordinator) of Healing Hands Foundation Pune. Their leadership and continuous support played an important role in the successful organization of the camp, which contributed significantly toward promoting preventive healthcare awareness and providing essential healthcare services to the community.
