Free Health Check-Up and Awareness Camp – Daund, Pune | 25 Aug 2025





The Free Health Check-Up and Awareness Camp was successfully organized on 25 August 2025 at Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thakre Apla Dawakhana, Pathan Building, behind Jain Mandir, Sutar Net, Daund, Taluka Daund, District Pune. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Primary Health Center, Karla, and Healing Hands Foundation, Pune, with the objective of providing free medical check-ups and spreading awareness regarding anorectal and related health disorders. The initiative primarily focused on diseases and symptoms related to hemorrhoids (piles), fistulas, fissures, hernia, constipation, and other associated disorders, ensuring early diagnosis, proper medical consultation, and healthcare guidance for the local community.
The camp witnessed active participation from the team members of Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thakre Apla Dawakhana, including Dr. Saurabh Shinde (Medical Officer), Radhika Shinde (ANM), along with several social activists and local volunteers from Sutar Net, Daund. Their support and cooperation contributed significantly to the smooth organization and successful execution of the health camp.
During the camp, Dr. Ashwini Pargewar examined a total of 44 patients and provided expert medical consultation and treatment guidance to the beneficiaries. Tejashree Khalate (Counselor) educated the attendees about anorectal conditions such as piles, fissures, fistula, and constipation while addressing common misconceptions regarding these disorders. She also explained the importance of lifestyle modifications, balanced nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices for maintaining better health. Mrs. Sheetal Bhosale (Camp Assistant) distributed free medicines to the beneficiaries, ensuring immediate healthcare support for the patients attending the camp. The registration and documentation process for the camp was efficiently managed by Smt. Ujjwala Khalate, ensuring smooth coordination and proper record management of all participants.
The camp was supported by the dedicated team from Healing Hands Foundation Pune, including Dr. Ashwini Pargewar, Mrs. Anita Said (Camp and Program Coordinator), Tejashree Khalate (Counselor), Mrs. Sheetal Bhosale (Camp Assistant), Smt. Ujjwala Khalate, Anand Misal, and Damodar Adhav. The entire health camp was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Snehal Porwal (Secretary), Dr. Ashwin Porwal (President), and Mrs. Madhura Bhate (NGO Coordinator) of Healing Hands Foundation Pune. Their leadership and continuous support played an important role in the successful organization of the event, which contributed significantly toward promoting preventive healthcare awareness and providing essential medical services to the community.
